tribes2 bots build their own paths through the map, thats what all the green lines are

the bots should always be able to navigate buildings really well because the paths are placed everywhere in the map, then the ones that hit obsticals are removed, like placing navigation points everywhere in the map, then the ones that hit obsticals are removed

some bots will try to jetpack up a building, hit their heads on an overhang and fall down again, then get stuck trying to do that forever, but thats life i guess :)

Well anyway, is there any sort of code to tell bots that there's WATER/LAVA somewhere? I for one remember my days of playing "The Perfect Storm" and fell over laughing as the bots all went for a swim (similar to lemmings jumping off a cliff).

And also on that note, how do you tell a bot that there's a building somewhere? Ya gotta love watching "Irrelevant Smoke" start walking against a wall because it can't find the door. :D

So enlighten me, as I have never added bots to my maps because of this and really wish to do so.

edit (again): The reason for this is when you build the bot graph, it incorporates existing objectives. So you build the objectives, then the LOS (Line-of-Sight) graph, which basically is going to go into the bot graph to tell the bots what they can see, so they don't try to walk through walls. Then, you build the bot graph, which generates a number of different paths between objectives, buildings, etc and tells the bots where to go and how far to jump and things like that.

As for what you need, make a BOT graph(half of spawngraph time)then a LOS(a quarter of spawn).

Then you make an objectives (which only takes about 30 seconds here :)) You will have to go ALT-TAB into your terrains or missions folder to remae it or somesuch.

Hope that helps.
