Does anyone know where to specify (now the new patch allows it) which faction fights against which... ?

I mean, you know that it has always been Storm against Inferno and now we have Starwolf against Blood Eagle and such... And I doesn't seem random because it looks like there is always a faction related to the terrain at the proper time...

Anybody knows ?

Better yet, does anyone know how to make the waypoints team specific...so the Blood Eagle flag isn't at the 'Storm Base' ... keeping in mind that Storm and Inferno are still the default teams in tournament mode.

Well Frappuccino, the answer to your question is simple: The Terrain selects the factions. For Instance, Lava World terrain use Diamond Sword for Storm and Pheonix for Inferno. For Lush, Blood Eagle is Storm, Diamond Sword is Inferno, and so on. Basically, the factions remain set to the terrain that you are playing, unless the server specifies them....

As for setting waypoints via team, there should be a $team or somesuch, I just don't know what. Basically, you should check the factions on the world you create....

I bet it gets the terrain type from the musicTrack = "whatever"; line. That's the only thing that I can think of inside of a .mis the specifies the terrain type. I don't think it would go by the textures of buildings themselves, since you can mix and match those. Even detailTexture can be changed away from the default terrain type.

PJ is correct:

%terrain = MissionGroup.musicTrack;

That's in the getTeamSkin function in CTFGame.cs ... the next few lines assign team skins based on the track value.

I bet it wouldn't be too hard to script in what teams you want to play each other on a specific map. Just so long as you properly clean up afterwards. Don't want to affect any other maps normal teams.
