New Lighting Files...

Every time I run one of my maps, whether I go into the editor or not, it generates a new lighting file for the mission [~500k in size]. Anybody know why it's doing this or how to stop it?

You wouldn't want it to not generate a lighting file. Lighting the map is very important ... you want to be able to see stuff don't you?

It will regenerate the lighting file anytime anything about your maps changes. However you do not need to include the .ml file(s) with your map when you distribute it. If a player goes to play on your map, it will generate a lighting file automatically.

when you load a new map havent you noticed that it has to do "Lighting Mission" but when you've run the map before it doesnt? there are a lot of those files tho, wow

I'd imagine it would be OK to delete them all. Tribes2 would just recreate the ones it needed the next time they were needed.
