T2 Bot Objective - Deploying Barrels Q

Hello.



I was just wondering if it's possible to script AIObjectives that encourage bots to deploy turret barrels, namely for the large/base turrets. Right now, my bots will purchase but not deploy barrels.

I finally managed to get bots to deploy turret barrels, but I had to modify various AIDeployEquipment::* member functions in aiObjectives.cs to do it. At present, however, the bot just sits there after deploying the barrel ... it looks like the bot is still trying to deploy the pack even after the barrel is successfully mounted.

It's looking like I'll need to mess with AIDeployEquipment::monitor() to fix this "bug."

I'll keep you posted. Of course, any help would be cool.

Speaking of help, anyone here know how I might check which barrel is mounted to a given TurretBaseLarge shape?

Well, you probably will want to call the bot to do another random task in that script after it's done....

And PS, the line to find the turret's active barrel is:

game.Turret = nameToId("NameOfTurretHere");
game.TurretBarrel = game.Turret.initialBarrel;

Or some sort of variant. I just checked, and apparently the game keeps the turret variable there, from the start AND during the game.
