my free trial of milkshape is over

im looking for a program that can create vehicle and player models maybe animation and such

anyway im goin to look into either 3Dsmax or milkshape or find someone i know with either program willing to loan me it
since i didnt get 8 replys of nonsensical gibberish and flaming here my new view on tribalwars tech help forum is now one of disdain

Not good to go at all. The atmosphere there is toxic.
I /think/ I recall someone saying that you could use maya too, but I really don't remember.
Anyways, Milkshape is a safe bet.

after looking into the what programs are recomended by torque MAYA 3Dsmax2 and milkshape? were reccomended to developers
i have heard nothing about maya nor ever seen it in a tutorialk area so thats a sign that the other programs are better...

I have Maya an it's just like Max but easyer in some respects, there's also more development for FREE maya pluging an scripts then Max. check out it has sections for both Maya an Max an other 3D programs, also FREE DL for plugins an scripts for both programs, u'll find umteen more plugins an srcipts for maya then all the others put together!

someone at tribalwar.com pointed me to Gmax which is free and can do most of what 3Dsmax does if it doesnt work im goin to look into maya

Gmax will not work with Tribes 2 whatsoever. Save yourself the time, and dont bother with it. There is no .dts exporter for Gmax.
