i'm having a problem with the .VL2 creator...

You only need highfield maps if you made one yourself in paint or something.

And I dont really understand what your talking about with the prompting for download. I think your just put your .ter and .mis and any other stuff in the dirrectory with the .vl2 creator then you use the exe and it makes one. keep in mind that a .vl2 is just a .zip with a different extension. so you could just make a .zip file and put your stuff in, HOWEVER you must have the right paths for the files. so your .mis will have to have a path of JUST /missions NOT tribes2/gamedata/base/missions. and same with the terrain, it needs to just be /terrain.

this is easy to do with winrar because you can create your own dirrectorys in the zip.

then after your done, just rename the extention from .zip to .vL2

well in the tools menu the first option is the vl2 creator, i was trying to use that, it says after you put all the files there to click compile then wait and it will prompt you to download the .vl2 file it made out of all your files, but it just went back to the default and didnt prompt me to download it, didnt give me an error of any kind either

That one limits custom difs, you can use the other one called mapzip you place all files for your map into a folder. You place the ter , nav , spn , mis , dif , and the load image .png into the folder along with the mapzip program. Doble click on the program and abbra cadabra there it is a vl2 file. you can change the vl2 extention to zip and edit it as needed such as placing in more files scripts ect.
