I'm working on a map and DON'T want it to be a required download for client end systems. I'm useing existing terrain, and no modified textures. But I do need to punch out or make invisable part of the existing terrain. In doing so have I made a client Download required?

Are you serious?! That makes my life a whole lot easier. I've just started doing some server side mapping (no one appreciates a good client-side map, I'm afraid....) and I was trying to think of a way around holes in the terrain. I had figured they might be part of the mis since they're definied there, but I wasn't entirely sure.
I agree PJ ... that was one of the worst things about the Tribes 1 editor ... you couldn't have underground stuff without requiring a download. That frustrated me beyond belief.

I know, thanks all for informing me of this, I just found out a week ago and I suddenly realized all the possibilities this opens up! I had naturally assumed it was the same as in Tribes 1, thank god its not! w00t! w00t!

Yeah v5, I'm definitely going to make some T2 maps. I have been so busy with work, the launch of T2, and the launch of this site that I haven't had a chance to even glance at the editor yet. Can you believe it?

Oh, I believe it alright I'm facing similar problems in my RL....too much work. At least school will be over after this week, but I've got a very busy summer ahead of myself.
Learning the editor will be, uh, quite an experience I'm sure. Maybe by the time you get around to it Dynamix will kink out some of the constant UE's.
