I've heard from my current unreal mapper on my team that the scripting and mapping are similar or are very alike, or something like that. Can anyone clarify?
I might need to do some small mapping seeing as I'm going to have a single player campaign as well as a multiplayer mod for T:V.

That's what I want to know though. Also I keep hearing that they're just using an older version of UT and some updates.
Let me put it like this: Can someone clarify these things:
Server-side modding (and mutators) are allowed in T:V right?
Are the scripts/mods and maps tied into each other?
Are they using the new Unreal (UT2003) engine or the old one with a lot of tweaks?

ok.... that's good. unless source boasts a better modding system i'll stick with Unreal. I don't wanna get screwed over like the T1->T2 transition though.

read through the publicly available ut2k3 source scripts - for the scripts not the exe, of course
and finally... in terms of engine version, Irrational i tink said they are "locking" down with 2225 or so, the last updates Epic pulled together with the bonus pack and such for ut2k3.
that's solid code, and then i think Irrrational is building their own code from there (although they can always grab new stuff and cool toyys like the UnrealTV stuff, as engine licensees).
