Even expert's need help.

Well, I just now got back into mapping, completed my first base for the map, and everything seem's to be going good except I am using custom textures this time.

Now, I made a folder named Jesna (for Jesna is the name of my map) and I placed all the .wad textures in .jpg form in the Jesna folder. Now, I went to compile my building, and it said 'Error: Cannot find texture 'yatta yatta', basically saying I did something wrong.

Can someone please explain the steps once again to me so I can compile me damn building?

Oops, forgot to mention that the Jesna folder is in base/textures.

you will have to convert them to .png.
t2 doesnt use jpg for building textures..
only torque does...

Made 'em .png, and it still ain't working.

T2 CAN use .jpgs.

But I think PNG is oft used for it's good compression/quality balance (or so I'm told).

But the complier needs to have PNGs as far as I can remember.

How are you doing it, Chall?

And what's the error it's giving?

I put all the .png's into a folder with my map's name on it, and I placed the folder in 'textures'. Now, I try and compile, and it say's "Error: Cannot find texture metaic_ua.png", etc...

Help?
