Hacker I see what your saying, but when they get delayed and I dont get them straight away I never get around to joining, and just thing skrew it next time i see the reg in my inbox.
I dont understand why the site wants to have the right e-mail...
I mean its up to you if you want ur right e-mail typed in to recieve stuff, your loss if you dont.

The email address requirement serves several purposes:
1) It guards against spam bots.
2) It helps (a little) enforce having only one account per person. Yeah, it's easy to get another email address, but that's why many forum sites don't allow registration from the free email address providers like hotmail and yahoo.
3) It prevents "drive-by" postings from fly-by-nighters that have no intention of becoming community regulars. (This is the source of Riavan's frustration, apparently.

4) It gives a means for the forum moderators to contact members outside of the forums themselves, in case the member doesn't regularly visit.
5) Reasons 5 and higher are too obscure for me to think of in the 30 seconds I'm devoting to this reply.
