Transparency is not supported in .DIF format by T2.

But it is supported in .DTS objects.

Null isn't a color, its just a name.

When compiling an interior, map2dif (aka morian) isn't looking for that specific color to designate something as Null. All it does is recognize that the name of the texture on a face is Null, and it marks it as null. Thus, you could make the Null texture look like the empire state building, and it would still work as long as it was named Null.png
