If you use Bryce, then read this (taken from my Textures Guide):
If not, you should get some helpful information. Like, each "side" of the sky should have a FOV of around "112.5".

FOV = Field of View. It is the angle of which you can see. For instance, when you zoom in on T2, you narrow your field of view.

Cyborg: I took a look at those skies of yours. By "box", you mean little "lines" running at the corners of the skyBox, right? Well.. I don't know how you did your pics, but they're all the same. ('cept up, and down) You'd think that "clouds" like that would all match up.. but unfortunately that doesn't happen. You'll have color gradients that don't continue past the edge.. because the rightedge of your "front" sky doesn't "continue" on to the left edge of your "right" picture. See? The left edge is the exact same as the left edge of the front pic.. and it doesn't "mesh".

I'm not sure what you are asking. The skys that come with the game are made with the 120 degree FOV so that when you go full sky, they "wrap" around a circular surface.
