Vimp the map I think you are thinking of with snow on grass is using the .ter from a training mission. If I recall correctly it uses Training4.ter. It's Primavera.

It doesn't, believe me. I spent many hours trying to work around that, and I know many others have as well.

yes, you can only change the "detail" texture, as PJ and Riatha were explaining.

the details are actually textures, of sorts, but only slight variations on the literal "detail texture" of the terrain, the type of grittiness or cracks found on a terrain type.

that fourth texture.cs thingy doesnt seem to be of any real import outside of the editor.

Its only useful in distribution if you want others to be able to view / use your texture script.
