Problem with Shadows

As you may notice in the picture i attached, there arn't any shadows really to speak of except for some dark patchs that have no reason for being shaded dark. I don't know how to get rid of those shadows that are there nor how to make new ones that should be appropriate for the conditions set. The conditions to my knowledge are:

Sun - 500m high and i believe it is facing the cliffs in these pictures from the water to the right side facing left-center.
I've loaded the mission more then several times and pressed the relight button also more then a few times so that isn't my problem.
The lighting is Sun - 1.00000 1.00000 1.00000
ambience - 0.60000 0.60000 0.60000

So the way it is looks like theres burnt sections of the map and then on top of that dumb situation theres no shadows for anything that should be causing shadows.

That may also be caused by a building a full mission area's length away from where that's located. A little glitch I have noticed is that shadows that appear inside the first terrain block area ALSO appear at their duplicates outside of that same area. You can check for this by going to the terrain editor from the editor.
