Gurrr Ugly Sky Lines

When I make a sky with Bryce or Terragen, they always go through this color scale of certain lines of color, and it turns out very ugly, any sugestions on what to do? Torkz.. buddy pal, I know you being such a Nice guy would make a Sky Box Tips and Trick tutorial ... he ... heh

try putting your texture dept to 32bit, and see if some go away

yeah I do have a few sugestions, this will add considerable time to your render so dont crank these settings up untill your pretty sure youve got the look you want. First go into the render options and turn 48 bit dithering on, and set the anialiasing to iether super fine or premium. If youve still got that color banding go into the sky lab and play with the volumatric world settings the higher the quality and higher the density the more time its gonna add to your render also. For the sky box on EEproms map Summit Raceway it took about 2 1/2 hours per side. Yours shouldnt take quite that long but with montains and puffy clouds in their it increased my rendering time considerably. To do a batch render while your not gonna be using your comuter for awhile save each image as a seperate bryce scene then drag all 5 of them into the bryce window it will then render each one saving the image into the same folder were your scene files were saved.

and yeah set your color deph to 32 bit like Hundin666
said, do this to both your desktop color depth as well as your in game color depth and make sure your document setup is at 512x512 not 256 x 256

Hmm So you made those mountains and clouds around it through Bryce... Just wondering, did you also Make Planets the same way, through objects.

Or did you use the Moon Phase option, well either way if you have the time I would like to know tips on how to make planets or in the scene without it looking sloppy, and how to have clouds layer over them. Or you could make a tips and tricks tutorial for me pweaty pwease , jk don't have to feel to obligated

But if you can, I would like to have maybe a Bryce file of some of your greatest skys as examples, for refrence.
