Texture for a building
Ok, I have a texture that i want to put into a building, my first question is can i replace the texture of a building alread in existance, also, what size does the texture need to be, and one more thing, how do i change the file type so that i can use it inside of tribes2
If someone would help that would be great.

1) You cannot make any changes to an already existing buildings (.dif's).
2) Textures should be in .png format, with demensions that are powers of 2 (like 2x2, 2x4, 2x8, 32x32, etc. Max of 128 I think). You should try to keep to square texture sizes whenever possible.
3) Any picture/photo editor worth anything can save as a ".png". But you will need to add the texture(s) to a .wad file if you want to use them in Worldcraft. I suggest using "Wally". Search through the threads or any Half-Life/Quake editing site (I dont have the URL with me). Then you will also need to include the .png file(s) in the "base/textures/<NameOfYourWadFile>/..." directory. Make sure to include those .png's with your map.
I would recommend downloading Paint Shop Pro 7. It's a great program and it's easy to find a crack for it.
Speaking of using .png's. Does Tribes2 support animated .png's? I don't recall ever seeing one in Tribes2. I believe the .png format does support animation though. Thanks.
Hmm, ok yah i just got Paint Shop Pro 7 yesterday:D So if i have my own texture i want to put into a building, i have to make my own building right? Thank you that cleared some things up for me (the newbie)
