A few WorldCraft Questions.

1. Ok, I just got WorldCraft, Installed it, Followed this sites instructions on the settings and everything.





I Created my first object, a box with one side open - -, And when i run it tribes tells me must open tribes 2 online using the supplied shortcuts. Does anyone know why it is telling me this?

The pics are small and show my settings windows. along with the box i made.

2. When i map\check for problems (Alt+p) my box. It comes up with no player starting point. How do i make this? Is it even needed?


Please Help if you can.

The player start is for Half-Life. You don't need to worry about that.

And are you trying to run T2 by with the actual exe or a shortcut?

I think i know what you meant now in your other post Lt. For the arguments under game executable for build programs and game configs it should say
C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe -nologin
not
C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe

Is that what you mean?

yep. You either need -nologin or -online for it to work.
-nologin (LAN game) is best for mapping

i left the game executable and build spaces the same as i started....the -nologin didnt work in that part, but i tried in the parameters of the run screen and it launched perfectly into the lan tribes but no server was started.......

no erros anywhere came up. Just no server was hosted.

Can figure out why it wouldnt work....

Yes i just checked and double checked again. No test1 able to be made in the editor.

Is there a certain stage of editing an object u need to be at to view it?

All my object is is 5 walls.....i selected the solid square button on the tool bar, made 5 boxes each one hiting make object after and i formed it into a box. this is where im at. Do i need to make textures for it first?

OMG. Thank you so much for helping. It works!!!! I can make the shape in game. This is frikin awesome. I got some pics if you wanna see it lol. There not to big. Again thank you, now i can play around with texture making and try to get better my object editing skills, and come out with my first CS map! Woohoo! <3
