I agree that SS maps area great start and then lead to CS maps and eventually you will really rock as a mapper, I hope to go that direction, I have 2 SS maps, one crappy, one really good IMO and I plan to come out with more CS maps. Just no servers will usually run CS maps unless it is in a competition map pack

Depends if your trying to get it on HV or (to a lesser extent) the pond.
However, map packs are much better at garnering downloads... like on arena servers. They only seem to have stuff from arena packs.

Jambon: I believe that what you said is only a problem in CTF. In the Hunters and Team Hunters gametypes, you can carry hundreds of flags.

It has to do with the fact that the game type has to be coded to do something with multiple flags. CTF only has scripting for carrying one flag.
