Thanks... and i think this project will start after the 28th (my last midterm). I'm looking forward to seeing if it can be done properly. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on what they consider a more defensible flag (flag area) than others then rite them here. If this game goes to 8 flag caps then i need 8 progressively harder places to put the flag.

Hmm, theres a really weird ctf map somewhere, where the enemy flag starts at your base, behind a teampass ff that only they can get through and you have to destroy their generator to get their flag at your base...

I got the flag to appear in different places when people get a cap. It was fairly simple too.

Now i need to work on base design and setting "triggers" which shoot by activating gens and ffs.

Having said that, i think the map would be more dynmaic if i could just add ffs and gens and take away them (or other objects) as flags are captured.

Anyone know how to script adding (deleting) objects? If not i guess i will have to move them. Oh and if i do move them, how can i specify a specific co-ordinate to move them to? Right now my flags move to a stand... not a specific place.

%obj.setTransform()
First three numbers are position and last three are rotation. If you are just changing position, just use three numbers and the current rotation will be kept.

So i just put

%obj.setTransform(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6);

or

%obj.setTransform("1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6");

Just do %obj.setTransform("x x x") if you only want to set position. If you want to change the rotation, put three more numbers.

Um... i'm looking for a good SS terrain block to use for this map. I haven't checked out a bunch yet but right now the CnH map Jacob's ladder is sticking out in my mind. The lush climate can handle most of the clashing building types (i think) and while there is not much potential for ground vehicles due to the hilly terrain, it allows for some good skiing and some (crosses fingers) havoc drop teamwork action. Also it has a nice high hill for one of the multiple flag bases. Downside is that due to it's hilly nature, it will be hard to find an area to place underground bases.

Anyways, if anyone has ideas for these terrains or flag base idea then please post them here!

Sorry about the triple post but now i'm thinking the terrain from Ashes To Ashes (CnH) might be best. It's basically the same as Jacob's ladder except more rocky... a bit harder to ski but has some flatter areas for underground bunker bases and raised hilltop bases.

Its actually

1 2 3= position
4 5 6 7= rotation

Rotation needs 4 numbers, ("X Y Z Degrees")

Dont put commas between numbers
