Problems with Capture and Hold

I had this problem a couple of times.. tho' not with the new Beta. What happened is I put everything down, then built the objectives. I found that exiting, the restarting the map will "assign" the assets correctly.. and let the objectives build ok.

Disclamer: as I said, I'm not running the Beta.. I don't know if it'll work.

Ok I finally figured this out. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my map, this was a game bug involving how the bots choose the AIobjectives they carry out.

Since the teams started without bases the only objectives the bots had were to capture the bases. The first few bots did go after the control switches, but after that there werent enough valid AIobjectives for the rest of the team to carry out so they started picking invalid objectives. In other words, the bots got bored and starting blowing things up randomly. If this was working correctly the bots would simple do nothing which is what normally happens when there are no objectives.

As soon as they capture 1 of the bases they will stop making this mistake and will work correctly. There was 1 point where this part wasnt working either and bot the would continue to attack neutral bases until they destroyed all of them. Im not entirely sure why it was doing this but at some point this problem was fixed.

You would have to script the bots to do what you want. Bots dont work well with CnH because the bases can switch teams. They basicly handle it like a Bounty or Deathmatch game. Kinda sucks. Because the AIobjectives dont change teams when the bases are captured and lost.

Now if you wrote a script that does that, well that would be a different story.

Unfortunatly, you may be wasting your time doing anything with CnH anyways... its a gametype that noone plays anymore.

My advice is not to sweat it much.
