Thanks for trying to help me solve my ongoing T2 Woes.

should i install T2 off my Original Cd or use the free version i downloaded called Tribes2_gsi.exe ? ?

the free version From Filplanet [Vileplanet].

my current version is the Cd version + Final Patch + community Patch.

my CD version is the Orginal one.
one of the last games i bought with the big PC boX :-) hehe'

whats wrong everyone forgot about those Big BoXes For Pc Games and now you miss them ?

i agree MagicFire :-)

except for that Huge Leap they must do. they need to use that transport vehicle [or a vehicle station needs to be added to the map].

interiors are pretty "bot friendly" as i remember.they love destroying the defensive turret.

but not as crazy as MagicFire's Centuar
on his version they destroy and dominate all the turrets and sensors.
shame they cant blow up the main forcefield generators.

this map plays well.
Dick longfellow didnt add the required Lagg info at the end of the .mis. no vehicle support. im not sure whether bot destroy objectives were used. hopefully he or soemone else will recompile the bots.

nonetheless it was a fun time with his version. made a good bot map even beter.

ive been playing all sorts of Seige maps i downloaded with bot support from tribes2maps. some have questionable bot support im starting to take notice to what needs to be done to the map in order to optimize the bots for that map.
even to a minimal extent i would be happy with a bot update for all that i tried. i need to get the time to do some of that 'work'. so that my LAN experience is even better.

Bot Maniac, if I were you dude I would go back to the last Dynamix patch. This is the patch that Lagg's Bot's work the best with. I did some extensive testing with both the Dynamix last patch with Lagg's script's and tested the community patch with Lagg's script's. The community patch has a few bug's that need to be worked out of it. I get spam error's so bad with the community patch it lagg's an offline game, which it shouldn't do but does. Zod is still working on it give him some time and he can work the bug's out of it.

Just a suggestion bud, I know you look forward to all these new map's and bot script's. One thing to understabnd is all this code work take's time. Lagg didn't write these script's overnight. This stuff can be and is very time consumming. Quite a bit of time and effort goes into adding code and testing code and working bug's out. Gotta have patience bro.

We all understand your new to this and your learning just like the rest of us. When I started out 4 or 5 year's ago I was just like you. I wanted so badly to learn this stuff I could taste it. I bugged people until they got sick of reading my post's. lol

Is their anything from the community patch you can't live with out? I may be able to help you implement it into the last dynamix patch for you. I could work on modding it for you. I could make a mod for you to run for you and your buddies to play T2. I have several project's going on but I am willing to help where I can.

im not a complete n00b. ive been tweaking games for 5 years atleast.
i get dedicated servers of game X with Mod Y running all the time. i usually have no problems that dont get resolved timely.

ive been involved in beta testing mods and stuff, given some good feedback.

Should i use Tribes2_gsi.exe installer or use the Tribes2 CD + latest Patch ? ?

or are they Exactly the same ?

MagicFire : yeah Centaur isnt that Bot Friendly but they were up the hill in Droves. it was just me and my friend [2 players] against 32 bots on the other offending team.
so they pretty much Dominated the surface, destroying turrets and senors even while you try to repair them.
they just couldnt get the ForceFields down.it was useless playing that many bots by ourselves but its a fun challenge to see how well they can kick youre ass.
i probably wouldnt recommend it on any Lagg missions as they are bot scripted to the "T". they would easily smoke us.

just for fun i might blow up the generators for them then change teams and do the 2 vs 32 match again. but the outcome is obvious. well get smoked.

still fun to get youre ass handed to you like that.
