Get bots to mortar anything

I was experimenting with bot ai the other day, specifically with mortar objectives, and discovered you can get a bot to shoot mortars at any outside target you want. I've been working on a small map that showcases what bots can be programmed to do.

My biggest triumphs are getting bots to go sniping, and getting them to attack turrets while wearing cloak packs.

To get bots to mortar any outside object you need the targets name and id number. You need to specify the gear they'll use, (Mortar and MortarAmmo, under equipment) and (HeavyAmmoSet under buy equipment.) Be sure to set a weight value, but I've learned if you set it too high all the bots will lock up, and if you set it too low they'll never get around to doing it.

As for sniper bots, in the ai objective of killing the enemy flag carrier it lists everything you need to outfit sniper bots. Just set an objective of attack or defend area and set the buy equipment field to either LightEnergySniper or LightSniperChain. It also helps to place Light EnergyPack in the desired equipment field. I'll have to double check, but I think that should work. I'll post my bot testing map after I work out the bugs.

Okay, here is an example map. Its a very basic map so the bots won't get stuck or anything. One half of the map has bots mortaring different types of targets (generators, turrets, Inventory stations) and on the other half of the map bots duel with sniper rifles. I set waypoints so they are easy to find.

I put in vehicle pads hoping to try to get the bots to mortar it but to no avail. I can't even get them to repair the damn things. All you can do is order bots to mortar and repair them, otherwise they skip it.

One very interesting thing you'll notice is when the heavies go to mortar enemy structures a few light armored bots escort them. sometimes 2 at a time. I don't know how or why, but its pretty cool regardless.
