Map Option: Flag Bots

OK, in the spirit of complete map scripting anarchy, i just had a new idear.

FLAG BOTS. Yes, folks...

Little critters that camp the flag. Not too dangerous or good with aim, but a new factor nonetheless. They could give off high heat sigs and use the spider turret code projectiles.

I picture using one of the base objects for the shape (like a grenade, mortar ammo, or camera).

I'm not sure if this is even possible yet, but it seems like a cool enough idea to look into. HELP ME!!!

I'm kinda putting a bunch of different "mapper options" together into something I'm currently calling "heretic."

How about a bomber bot. Basically a bomber with AI that will attack bases, D, and gens.

Well, look at the Havoc mod. There is a repairDrone which is basically a deployable vehicle or sorts.

I'd just want to know if something akin could be set to AIcontrol, with VERY simple objectives.

The idea could be extended to a range of objectives, but the idea of a simple flag defender or a repair bot seems like it could be added and keep the gameplay balanced still.

I can picture a bunch of little drones flying around trying to fix sensors and what-not.

But right now, I'm mostly curious in seeing a really, really simple flag defender that's kinda slow and not such a great shot. And something that doesn't register as a player.

well, i just started looking back into this idea to see if i can pull it off. I could definately use the help of somebody good at mod development who knows all the vehicles and object coding.

My goal is to have a simple script which plugs into the MapSupportPack...

ANybody wanna help out?
