Renaming Bots

I'm try to find out how I can change the bot names or use other bot alias names like "The Golden" or "Hotfoot". I saw them all in the scripts.vl2 files. I was told to download Tribal IDE because it would be easier so I did, but no one told me how to use it. I am not a scripter so I am asking for easy step by step instructions to do so, if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked at other post here but I could not find any to help me out. If there is one, please send me a link, as I might of overlooked it.

Hey dude, Yes tribal ide is very good, I myself am using it for coding. I'm not all that great with it myself I couldn't find much on it if you do post here dude I will for you if I find out more myself.

Unzip your Scripts.vl2
find the file named AIBotProfiles.cs and open it..

Now go down alittle and look for this..
$BotProfile[0, name] = "Kidney BOT";
$BotProfile[0, skill] = 0.99;
$BotProfile[0, offense] = true;
$BotProfile[0, voicePitch] = 0.875;
Now.. You can change the name were it says "Kidney Bot" to what ever you choose... You can change the skill it is between 0.00-1.00 I believe...
Voice pitch will change the pitch of the voice I think.. dont know.. : )
and thats it.. now place this file in your script folder and when you run a game it will overwrite your script.vl2 for your tribes... It mainly will override the aiBotProfiles.cs in the vl2..
And thats it..

Hey kidd, also when you make changes like you did. Don't froget to do a search for dso's and delete them. before you reboot T2 and check the change's you made. A lot of ppl run into problem's when they don't delete those dso's. Don't worry T2 make's them again everytime you boot up T2 if they aren't there. Also here is a link for a coding site with A whole lot of good info if you want to get into making more change's or make your own mod.
