All my remotes get placed this way, without errors. Stick the "Y" axis into the wall or ground the same way you would be facing if you, as a player were trying to place a turret there. A picture is worth a thousand words so I attached one. Notice that I angled it up a little so that the Bot will tilt his head and look straight at the "Y" axis and deploy. It also works for cielings if they are not to high. The bot will jump and place ceiling turrets or motion sensors.
Another way for you to learn more about Bots is to open the AI Editor in a map like Katabatic and study how Dynamix did it. You will see all kinds of rotations on the objective markers.
Note: This only will work with Deploy Objectives, not attack or mortar.
