New Patch? ZOD?

Hey ZOD I experienced this last night after I was testing the new script's you posted in these forum's. I thought it might just be them but I D-led the patch and I still get this console spam that lagg's a lan server.

Projectile::calculateImpact:this function is (essentially pure virtual. Should never be called.

This turn's into some console spam that lagg's an offline game.
Happened to me twice so far. On 2 seperate occasion's with 2 different installation's of T2. As I was trouble shooting it i noticed it happen's when A bot begin's to mortar an objective. It will kinda calm down after he is finished however it does cause lagg. When the bot or bot's complete their objective or are retasked to another or die the lagg either goes away or lessen's somewhat. However as soon as another mortar objective is started it start's up again. I will continue to test and trouble shoot and let you know my finding's.

I have never see nthis before. I'll investigate.

Edit: I went through the scripts and that isn't called from them anyplace. It is tied to projectiles only, so that rules out most of the script files. I have a sneaking suspision that it has something to do with one of the functions in support.cs, specifically ShapeBase::setCloaked. This is a rather wild guess however.

I'll have to mess around with a few things, will take some time.

Roger That, I'll keep you posted on anything else. I just was messing around with ReversionBOTS a map I just added Lagg Bot support to and I didn't get that error in that map. Just to let you know the map it happened with was Katabatic.

i can foresee more updates to the current community patch.

like when Lagg_Alot updates then i suppose the Scripts.Vl2
package will be updated as a side update for the patch.

i got the chance to squeeze in a game to my long day yesturday.

32 bots was bad lag for my :

dedicated server
winXP pro sp2 rc2 2096
P3 450mhz ;384mbpc100 sys ram; ultra66


this is for LAN though :-p with only 1 'client'

21 bots was pretty smooth though
so ill play with that one.

i simply cannot wait for Lagg_Alot's botpilot scripting.
but im very patient at the same time :/

is there anyone ....
[besides ZOD and Lagg_alot cause they have dont enough i wouldnt ask anymore of them]
... who can add the "latest available BotPilot Code" into the Community patch Scripts.VL2 ?

as an unofficial update for the time being to the community patch?

... or wait for Lagg_alots next map ;-)
