I seen this iDea on a Bot Fan Site For BattleField.



in their Forums.
here :

This Idea Could Work well with Tribes2 Bot Community also.

if all the "Tasks" are given out to the proper volunteering members.

Bot Coding : Sir Lagg_Alot [etc?]

Mapping : Lagg_Alot , KlumsyBot , etc

Reworking of Bot Missions from Base Tribes2 and Any requested Favorite maps from Tribes2maps.com


this is just a idea ,a rough draft.

im not appointing anyone cause im not declaring myself "Forman" of this group by any means. there are people here in this forum that should take up that.
i guess we could have a democratic vote or something.

im not sure who or who doesnt want to be part or have anything to do with this
"Community Bot Convention"

whether Lagg_alot , or KlumsyBot or ReconSDog or the maker[s] of the tribes2 community patch. etc etc.

the more the better i would think.

well what are youre opinions on this sort of "organization" ? ?

are we not all stronger working toward a similar goal ? ?

ReconSDog : i downloaded every Bot Supported Seige Maps from Tribes2Maps.com. ill get around to loading them all up soon hopefully.
maybe ill stumble onto that Gem that i remember.

whoa thanks for the reply for ahwile there i thought i wasnt gonna get a reply cause i posted days ago.

i was gonna ask a admin to delete my post.
guess i was alittle anxious and impatient.

major progress !!

so i guess what it comes down to is Sir Lagg_Alot ...
[never asked if he likes the 'Sir' part :-0]
he makes all the "ground breaking" work.

And other mappers/RE-Navers' implement what he makes.
which is perfectly fine. no complains here :-)

what 'might' have to be done is a "Pack" for Bot Lovers like Us here on the Forums and any other potential Bot Players or Even Servers who use Bots even minimally.

so version v1.0 of this 'supposed' pack would include
updated navs/graphs and incorporate Lagg_Alots great work into
as many maps as deemed necassary.

like all the Retail Maps [Missions.vl2]
which a updated version is available from KlumsyBots Site.
[Bots.vl2 , which replaces missions from Missions.vl2]

i guess the problem is its not easy to incorporate Lagg_alots Bot Scripts into maps without some map editing and more advanced coding ?

i guess its not plausable to expect Retail maps etc to easily be up to par with say NoQuarter [which if i remember correctly was Lagg's Last Great Bot Mission] without heavy knowledge and work.

so this might not even be possible.
i guess.

we need some Lagg_alot DNA and cloning machine.

i occasionally check out Tribes2maps.com
for Seige Maps. i sort the columns by Date Newest Maps.

there are a few new ones, but they dont have Bot Support ;-(

212 Seige Maps and only like 30-40 are Bot Supported.

For Bot PLayers like Myself the Top3 Gripes ,bitch -n- Moans are :

1. useless old BotPilot Mod

2. Not Many bot Supported Seige Maps

3. Bots are lamely scripted and sit around.

besides Lagg_Alots upcoming Map
most maps have one of these Short comings.
