1. What kind of restrictions? Size? Poly limits?

2. That needs to be more of a tut. Basically, you use joints to animate. The joints are attached to polygons or vertecies and then move around in animate mode to animate. For "Super Chaingun Spinning Action" you need to attach a joint to the barrel (I am assuming you are making a gun) and rotate the joint (in animate mode). That is the nutshell explanaition that won't help you at all, so don't complain (I'm actually at school, so I couldn't write a tut right now even if I wanted to)

3. I don't have the address with me right now, but all you do is plop a .dll file into the folder of the milkshape executable. Instructions on how to export are included in a text file. (TIP: Add your texture before animations)

I suppose I should give you the DTS thing for 3ds max, It works with v3+ I believe. Here you go.
This stuff goes in your 3ds/plugins directory...

Shapes can be pretty much anything. The only restriction for that is that the collision mesh needs to be a convex shape in order to work right.

poly counts...I'm not really sure. Just don't act like your making a CG movie with the shape and I suppose it would work out.
