Trouble creating sphere

Im having a pretty hard time making a sphere in WC-- either it just doenst work, or not all verticies will lay on the grid, resulting in cracks and errors. Using a 12 sided, 360 degree arch, Ive had moderate success, but many problems. I can get the inside of the spere to come out fine (pic 1), but I cant get rid of the crap on the outside of the sphere (pic 2). I need the outside to be rounded like the inside.

I basically need a quarter-sphere to lay on the top front of my base (Pic 3). Anybody have any ideas as to what I could try to do? Any plugins for WC for sphere making?

well this is how i make em..

i just make a spike that has as many faces as i want. then put the bottem where i want it. Then i drag the top like as high as i can. then i use the clipping tool and split it and the first point. but the clipping mod where neither gets deleted. then i bring the top part lower. clip again. then lower more clip again. and so on.


BUT if you really wanted a sphere just ask someone with HL2 to use the source hammer and it has a sphere tool there.

you can get errors when you clip and translate if I'm not mistaken. I've had the worst time with ramps, as crazy as that sounds, by clipping and altering size.

im no hammer expert, but there is a sphere file in the game, could you find that and open it with hammer then save it as a primitive or whatever thats called, then load your base and edit the sphere to how ya want it? or is it a problem with worldcraft

i dont know much about it so if my advice sux thats why

the sphere in the game is already compiled.. and there aren't really decompilers for t2 interiors

Another words you would need the .map or .rmf files in order to edit anything for Hammer/WC.
