NewBase Project TV?

once upon a time...

v5planet and myself put together a pack of top notch custom maps. we called it NewBase and were going to try to get the pack running on servers with support. we put it together, but just never had the energy to follow-through on the PR/server stuff (needless to say it was frsutrating to be doing that while sierra went off and did their own new Class/TR2, etc, and refused again to support autodownloading). we really discussed a whole range of custom (client-side) maps and wanted to make a very pub-friendly top selection of stuff which folks could then comfortably run online. folks might rememer the titan threads as we poured over all the CS maps at that time (early 2002).

ANYWAYS, with my new rig, i have been playing t2 a little bit again... and especially looking back on all the maps being done.

in a nutshell, there are maps id like to see redone for T:V. yes, i said that... although i wonder how wise it is to look backwards instead of forwards...

maps id LOVE to see redone at VERY high quality for TV: alluvium, big rocks, boss, cotton mouth ii, harvester, hellfire, pantheon, rollercoaster, stardust, stonehenge, zen, ziggurat - plus katabotic & slapdash

general thoughts? what other newer maps are there which could be really good for pubbing?

i think katabatic and titan would be cool remakes. and i have the feeling that many t1 veterans would like broadside redone.
