New To Mission Editing

I am new to mission/mapping and really need some help to get things figured out. I have read 4 different tutorials on editing, and there are gaps that even the best haven't filled in. Yes, I can open the editor and see how some things are changed, but I haven't figured out how to modify terrain, or place buildings correctly. Does someone have a complete Idiots Guide to T2 mission/map editing???:confused:

If you are having a problem with the placing of buildings because your mouse is moving them around to fast and too much and too quickly do the following:
1) Click the settings button (on the left side of the screen)
2) Then change the menu to mouse (top-left of the box)
3) change the mouse sensitivity to .1 or .005

The smaller the number the smaller of distance the object moves.

you can do a ctrl+click to move an item up, the z axis line never seems to work

BTW I have never had problems with the Z part of the controls.... I am eather blessed or just lucky.....Ok just lucky.

I always use the Ctrl + Click option to adjust the Z Axis.
