I got good I res Dem of most of the world, let me look thru my CD an see what I got. It migth be large.........I mean LARGE!

I got the hole of Hawaii @ 3.87 mb ( 14 files ) in .gz compressed format. HeHeHe, I un-rared one an it was almost 10 mb.

Hey Go, could you sent me the DEM's of Hawaii, or whatever the format is. I live there and I am making a map based on my highschool, so having quality terrain would be much appreciated, also there are many interesting landforms that would be great for maps.

I could send them to u Q-Ice, but!
Do u have a program that will un-rar these? Like WinRAR.
Zipping them doesn't do half as good a job a WinRAR.
All File un-rared is just <140 mb
And they are DEM's, but unpacking them u have to add the .dem extention.
I use to use them in Bryce but haven't had Bryce on my system for over a year.

I only have a modem so I'll have to send a few at a time.

Sure, I have win rar and almost every other file unpacking program out there. I also have MircoDEM so I can read DEM files. Just send them away.

Atreides96@hawaii.rr.com There should be no size restrictions as long as it is not much bigger than 1-2MB. My advice is send 2 if that doesn't work then send 1.


Most email accounts will not handle files larger than 2 MB. If you were to get ICQ you could send it over that with no problems.

oh i have the free yahoo email service, i can only have 4 MB stored in my inbox at any given time.
i have cleared it out for you. as long as it is under 4 mb itll go through (i hope)

There's also dems of all the world there but it's not sectioned off by country just large areas The files, at least the 1 I tried, was 56 mb ~ Middle East
