Ok, few things
1. Bitmap = Image of any kind (T2 specific, any image with png extension should do, provided you have the image size in power of 2)

2. see the previous post about using bitmaps as heightfields for terrain.

Just use the terraformer. But set a minimum height and maximum height that are equal. Presto, instant flat terrain at any desired height.

More detail for ya. Go to terraformer in the editor, window will pop up on the right side with 2 sections to put in the hight lowest and hight. Now if you want FLAT terain type in 0.01 for both setions and go down and where you can select diffent types of terran formation, like Fractal distorsion, water smoth...anyway you'll see it, just select Smooth ridges and vallies, or smooth water works to. and then it will give you another section, just type 0 for those and boom your done. Sound like alot, but wont take more that 4 seconds.
