I am working on my pearl harbor map and I have finally got the right shape for the island using a sattelite picture of oahu...but after importing it to T2, the island shape looks great (i have yet to do the mountains) but the whole island has got to be about 200m above the 'sea floor' <way, way, way too deep.
Is there something i can do (besides lowering the whole thing by hand) so that the coasts are about 20m above the floor?

Yes you can, in the terraform editor there is a setting for the min/max height. I can't think of the proper name for it right now. Just be sure to make a backup of your terrain file first. You can mess with it to see what works for you.
