Oh and i've checked out multiple maps for sniping practice including ones on and off this site. My aim was to make a multiplayer one in an arena style at first. Since then my plan has changed to making it sort of objective based. Basically you have to kill the enemy generator (increased life and no shields) to expose their flag. The catch is that the only place you can ding the gens is from a very open spot and the only way to get there is an open path. The other catch is that the flag once exposed is located over the a trench (which separates the two sniping areas for each team) which is frequented by many bolts of lightning that have 100% accuracy. At least it's only 1 grab to win!

Some other stuff to note, there are two invincible large sensors on each sniping area so the other team can always track where you are unless you take out the appropriate solar panels (which also have increased life and no shields). However the solars can be repaired (unlike the gens) but they are also in an open place. And of course, each team's sniping area will have some buildings and organics to act as cover.

Again i need a way in which to keep teams on their respective sides of that thin trench.

Maybe you can use a triggers. Trigger zones that kill a player if they leave them.

I am guessing that's been done on a map before but i can't seem to place one where if you leave a zone then you die. I remember an arena map called Launch Ramp where if you stayed in the spawn area for more than a specified amount of time you die. Does anyone know of a map with an example of what RS said so i can use it as an example? If i don't get some mechanism to keep people on either side the map ust won't work... unless i just say please stay on your side... but i think everyone knows hos that would turn out!
