I believe you're going to want a trigger - make it the size of the water, and even with the top of it, so when people are in the water, they're in the trigger.

Then just override the trigger's "on-enter" command, and bring the player's health up.

Triggers don't appreciate being stretched too big, however, so it'd be best if it's more like a small pond than a huge ocean.

Actually, all you really need to do is override the Armor::onEnterLiquid and Armor::onLeaveLiquid functions. No triggers are necessary - the water already is a trigger.
