if i get the new patch will it save over my map in progress?

will my map that is named reversion as of right now be saved over if i get the new patch? or can i just go change the names of the mission files etc. and still edit my map later on

also please tell me what exactly i have to change, i saved my mission as reversion, so now its the second reversion and i have all the folders i need made, i think its saved as a .cs file, but do i have to change that format? its about 173 kb but a dso file that is the same name is 954 or so kb and i dont know what the difference is or which reversion heightfield is mine and which is the real one. will changing the name of the heightfield, texture and mission make my mission show up in the list during the game?
sorry i am not too specific, thats cuz i am not sure what to do, please help, thanks

the patch should not overwrite your map in progress. Just rename the .mis file to what ever you want , to change what is displayed in the map list in game ,edit the .mis file and change the display name line to what ever you want , after you rename the .mis file you should build a new spawngraph (not sure if it is needed but what the hell?)
