Object editors wanted

Ok, people that make costum objects, here is the ultimate challenge:cool:. I have a real good idea for a new costum object that no one has made before, which goes without saying. My WC will not work no matter what i do. So, i am reaching out to you object editors. The object is going to be a huge, floating, base. I think that some you know what i am thinking right now. And your right. My idea is to make a Interior that is similar to a Starbase on Star Trek. I was going to try and make that object myself, but, like i said, my WC will not work. I have tried everything people have told me to do, but nothing worked. If you are interested in this new challenge, PM me and i will give you the perameters of the interior. Good Luck!

you mean that base that has 3 spike looken things on it. from star trek the next generation(i think, i am not sure... dont' quote me on this, i am not into that star stuff, sorry) i think it was named SpaceStation 9, i am not sure... But i was actually trying to make it, and i made a dome(go figure, when i wanted a dome, i made a *&^#ed up shape.) but just post your ideas/drawings/thoughts here(we are to lazy to PM you, or i know i am )

I just want it to be like 1/4 of the size of the one in the picture. Its not like i want it to be the actual size like on the show. I am talking about like the size of Nefilims base on the mission Scarred Bridge. About that size. If my WC was working, i could have it done by the end of November. But it doesn't. That is the problem.

only problem i see is the amount of domes and curves in it..
It would tax the nerves of anyone trying to make it.. : )
Its hard enough to make a somewhat detailed base much less to have to work around all the curves.. If it was say a solid object with little inside it could be done with little effort but to have rooms and any kind of inside space you would have to really spend time on it..
I cant speak for others but my table is full at the moment with some new bases I am working on.. but I would say that for someone who is interested in really learning worldcraft this would be a perfect learning experience.. : )
And cleverclothe, Slavery? Those guys at the singleplayer project need to let you out once in a while.. lol

You got half fo the work done in 1/10 of the time that other ppl thought they would be able to do it in. You're really good at making objects. Im truly impressed:D .

It's just a 16x16 hollowsphere i made with the arch tool (360 degree arch) and by using the ALT E to scale rows of verts to form the roundness. I hope someone can use the shapes. I have to admit I was puzzled with the idea of making round things when i first started with hammer. Thanks for the compliments. Took me a bit to figure it out, me not being much of a modeler and all. I save off nice shapes in files for later use, especially nice objects like spheres and stuff that are hard to reproduce in a short ammount of time. Hammer is nice.

Anyways if you want a really nice step by step guide with pictures on how to make nice round things, then gran this zip file which contains a rich text file document i wrote some time back in the summer.
