changing the type

I don't know if this is the rigth topic for my queston, but here it is:

Is it possible for example if u have a snowmap like katabatic. To keep the hills and stuff but that the snow changes to desert.
So u got the hills form katabatic but the looks form beggars run.

I'm kinda new and still testing my 1st map. So if u got some good links for terrain editen en trigger editen. plz give it

Yes, all you have to do is change the textures, once your map is up and the editor is open you can simply go to

Window>Terrain Texure Painter

Once in there just hit the change button on the under the pictures of the textures you'd like to change and then pick one you like.
