Problem with waterblocks...

alright i have a thin slice of water covering my entire map that is 2000m in the air which i can walk on BUT it only spans 5m down meaning there isnt water on the actual terrain just way up in the air. My problem is when im on the ground below some underwater physics are taking over due to the slice of water covering the entire map way up in the air, does anyone know of a way to contain the water in the air so that the sounds and physics do not carry down the to ground?

Waterblocks suck. They are completely unreliable, if not impossible for making areas underneath them unsubmerged. Sorry
