I'm a n00b when it comes to Worldcraft, and I can't figure out how to crack open a DIF file in order to change the textures on an object from another map. Is it possible? Or am I missing something?

as far as I know, that is not possible...
you need the "*.rmf" of the building which you wish to change, mostlikely if it is a building that came with T2 you will have to redesign it, if it is a building that someone here made, perhaps they will still have the rmf for you.

You might as well make it yourself.
Although I appreciate that the skylight part was very detailed, as I recall :\

thats the wonder of worldcraft! change the stuff you dont like! anyway, making the brushes is the coolest bit of the whole project.

Well after I finish Project Lonewolf stuff....hmmm:rolleyes: whenever that may be, and after I finish remaking the bases for BlueMoon, then perhaps I could do the skylight base....
Sorry looks like my schedule is full.
But give it a shot, you can probably come up with something just as good....it just takes time.

Yeah, I'm going to try to make something similar after I finish the rest of the maps and my map pack goes into Beta. I wanted to use it because it was perfect for the environment I was making for one of my maps. Hopefully whatever I cook up doesn't suck.

btw, i've been through trying to get the custom objects like you. thats why i make it a rule that i always make the .rmfs i make publicly available. (from my )
(well, except for the lonewolf stuff. it appears that should be released later...)
its best just to play around with WC. you'll get probably better than what you wanted anyway
