My names aren't staying put! HELP!!!

To remove AIObjectives:

1) Open the Editor
2) Click on WINDOW than AI Editor (on the top)
3) Click the AIObjectives Simgroup (The whole thing)
4) Press DELETE key on your keyboard.
5) Click on AI (at the top)
6) Click Edit Team 2
7) Repeat steps 3 and 4
8) Now press F3
9) Open the TEAMS Simgroup
10) Open the TEAM 1 Simgroup
11) Click on AIObjectives Simgroup (the whole thing)
12) Press DELETE on your keyboard
13) Open TEAM 2 Simgroup
14) Repeat steps 11 and 12
15) SAVE the Mission
16) Delete any .nav file with the Map's name (inside Terrains folder)

Use Notepad or TribalIDE to do your mission editing. Objects won't get automatically renamed, and organizing your SimGroups becomes a simple matter of copying and pasing.

You can also move things to simgroups in the editor, which I find easier. Just hold alt-m and click on the simgroup you want to move to, select the objects you want to move, and go into the "World" menu and click "Move selected objects to instant group"

my technique to getting names right is to put some unique string in their nametags, let it become whatever it becomes and when its time to final test, go through with a pen and paper and note down all the munted objects, together with their munted name and what i want their name to be. exit then open notepad and use the find tool to find the munted nametag and manually alter it.

MAKE SURE YOU TEST IT AGAIN! ITS VERY EASY TO OVERWRITE OR MISS A " OR A ;

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS TECHNIQUE! if you make a mistake, it is very hard to find. make a backup of your .mis before you do this!
