This is a fast-paced Siege map that takes place entirely within a single large base. The attackers start on the bottom level, and the defenders are upstairs. There are 4 generators which power energy beams which guard the switch. All 4 generators must be taken out before the switch is accessible.
Here's the catch: the generators automatically begin to repair themselves after they've been disabled for more than 10 seconds. This means you'll need teamwork to capture the base.

by )(ypersonic on November 8, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Alundra, don't give a map a grade merely because its siege, and you play siege, ffs. You more then likely didn't even download the map. Btw, this map is utterly horrible, no offense, but the concept of self repairing gens, in circa 8 seconds is utterly insane. This map would just become a huge mortar spamfest at the ff of the offense. In addition this map would never ever be capped, unless teams were drastically stacked. I'll just leave the grade void...
Agreed with Hype, many gens
by alingis on November 9, 2001 Permalink · Rating:Agreed with Hype, many gens are generally bad (unless very spread out or hard to defend) and self-repair means defenders dont have to actually do anything besides duel, which is exactly what siege is not about. I haven't played it yet, but the base appears to be the same one used in Desert Wind (my map) - :( It might be a great idea if the generaters were fewer in number, repair times were increased, and the generators placed in different bases, spread out over the map. I do like the "beam" idea though, looks really cool :)

This was with large competent teams. )(ypersonic should probably play a map a few times before posting such an opinionated comment. :) At least he didn't give it an F hehe. Like most of my maps, this is a "love it" or "hate it" map.

Nice concept, the generators
by Ensign Munro on September 7, 2002 Permalink · Rating:Nice concept, the generators repairing themselves after 10 sec. That little thing will cause ppl to work as a team, instead of going in solo. Yet again, great job Bytor
