Siege Lush Raining

Here is my undisputedly final map for Tribes 2 Siege. My master work. The best thing I will ever come up with. This map blends the Siege gametype with some CTF/Rabbit overtones to get a simplistic map that revolves around the flag.

Starwolf: You don't get much equipment; not even a health kit. This flag is simply a throwaway.

Phoenix: You get an Energy Pack and Inventory Stations. Show your mastery of the art of combat.

Blood Eagle: You get a Plasma Rifle in a large base. In close quarters, heavy weapons are the order of the day.

Diamond Sword: You get a Cloak Pack and a Shocklance.

Capture the Flag Lush Raining Night

Lake Devlon is your basic map for CTF. Destroy the solar panels on top enemy base to get in it, and then take out the main generators. Simple enough of course. Take a look at the bases, they use blue force fields. Those do not go down. Why? In my terms: it looks bad when they go down.

Capture the Flag Lush Raining

A century ago, the bioderm horde bombarded the Starwolf colony on Tamroque IV with thousands of fusion mortars. The human colonists were vaporized, and the ice age that had gripped the planet for thirty centuries came to end. The outer edges of the old Starwolf base remain, as well as a sensor outpost that was spared by the bioderms for its usefulness as a reconnaissance tool.

Siege Badlands Raining Night

A barren wasteland, poisoned by toxic liquids. Perfect for battle.

The offense starts in a floating base, the defense in a hillside bunker. Destroy one forcefield generator and two main generators to reveal a switch, submerged in the liquid. It is possible to reach the switch as any armor, although heavy is easiest.

Capture the Flag Lush Raining Client Side

Riverdance mirrored using the inferno (low) side.

I previously released a version using the Storm side, but it was suggested that the Inferno side is more interesting with the nice crescent hill on the one side of the base.

Capture the Flag Lush Raining Client Side

Celerity is a very good cluster map, but suffers from a few minor problems.

This version expands the distance between base areas, and mirrors the base compound placement and terrain for balance. Minor changes that should enhance overall playability.
