This is a "beta" cuz its my first map and i have a good computer so for me its good but if ur FPS r slow, tell it to me plz. I can remove some eyecandies or ambient sounds or i can try to remove some structures. I tried to make a good server side map which forces teamwork with some ideas from Firestorm, Desiccator and Recalescence but with all the vehicles (for example, 2 MPBs per team r allowed) and a terrain for "skiing-lovers". U can cap if u infiltrate enemy base or, if u destroyed FF gen, u can eject from a shrike and cap like in Desiccator or Archipelago. Its not very easy cuz u have to dont be blocked by the flag's socle and the floor's hole, but its possible and not too hard. Don't forget the inventory station below the platform near ffgen's bunker. IMO this makes this platform vital for the defense of ffgen and like this inv. stat. isnt too easy to destroy with mortar or missiles. Dont forget MPBs cant be deployed on the bridge or near any structure, they serves for defense (there's only one base turret which is empty at the beginning of the match) and to set up a forwarded base if u find a way by the sides. Some roads make it more easy. But u can straight rush with tanks for example. I worked "a lot" on the fog too to try to make it a tactical composant with platforms and ffgen's bunkers for midfield's battles. I didnt succeed in animating the nexus effect (its a CTFonly map), if someone know how to do this plz tell me, this can make a great eyecandy ^^. I hope u will like it but any comments, bug reports, critics or ideas r welcome =)

by Star on July 6, 2001 Permalink · Rating:This map is fun to play for a couple of reasons. The D will have a fun, or not so fun, time defending the flag and the flag FF generator. The structure in which the FF gen is has no invs so one will have to be carried there right away if your team wants to have any chance keeping the FF up. I think one of the vehicle pads can be taken out. Another great thing about this map is the atmosphere. The fog is used quite well and the ambient sound, such as the wind in the large valley, only adds to the map. Finally, that creature that I heard at the beginning of the map had me nervous as hell the whole time I played it. Excellent map.
