Capture the Flag Lush Clear Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes

Each team has a large base with a vehicle bay attached providing a full arsenal of vehicles. Flags are located a short distance away from the base on a large pedastal. 7 Captures to win the game.

*This map is also included in z0dd's xPack on TWL, but the two are compatable. (All the changes I made in this version are to the .mis file only, so you can join a server running the xpack version with this version. The xpack version is denoted with an (x) after the name) You can get the xpack here: http://www.teamwarfare.com/files/

**Mappers feel free to use the custom shapes, sky, and terrain textures in your own maps, as long as proper credit is given to its author. (I made the interiors and sky, GMD of tribe NOVA made the terrain textures)

***Thanks to GMD for the awesome terrain textures, and to z0dd for doing QA, and everyone else who helped test it. :-)

That, is a sweet looking base from the screenshots... Any idea when the new |Classic| maps will come out now? Or is it still pending on if you get the bases looking right before T2 goes the way of the dinosaurs?

i think its a scheme...akira leaves, and then sparky, and TseTse take over as the uber interior makers...hmmmm? somthing fishy going on here. but anyway, the interiors remind me of my unreal tournament days (in the base) nice and cramped...just the way i like it ^_^

OMG! Too many good maps out, I just can't handle all the excitment. Btw, Nefilm, did you use Bryce 5 to make that sky, or Terragen just currious.

truely impressive ,this is what i look for when i come here to review maps; custom shapes, textures, and ceativity. it makes things so much better and ppl like it when u put forth more effort. and mainly coming from nef its not uncommon. keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing more maps

This map is amazing, when you thought Akira was the only one who was good at WC, guess again. Your base ownz, and so does the terrain texture. Kinda gives you a feel of a farm land the terrain texture that is. Well alltogether this map is well deserved to be on the high user rated.

Lub this map, sheer perfection. I didn't know it had been releashed yet outside the x-pack. O well. Amazing map, easy for cappers, easy for HO, nice skiing, great terrain, beautiful bases. Just an extremely well balanced and beautiful map.

It's great to see a map that not only looks as great as any other map on this site, but also lends itself to the fast, frantic gameplay that we all love. The bases are awesome. The terrain is beautiful and ski-friendly.

Great job.

WoW! One of the best maps I've ever played. Enough distance to make it interesting. Large complex base with multiple openings. Great landscape, a beautiful map and great game play.

Beautiful! Nice to see great quality map postings going strong for Tribes 2, and getting better and better.

If all of you have been wondering where EEPs has been for the last six months or so, well, I have been away on a surf expedition around the world. However, I am back at home, playing Tribes2 and many other games and hope to be producing some tinker tweaks here real soon. That is if I can get up to speed with mappers like Nefilim.

Again, great job Nefilim!! This is a must, must have map!

have to agree with EEPROM on that,
GREAT map and game play, I got my work
cut out for me and working on my WC skills! =) Keep up the good work!

I find this map to be excessive and laggy. I have no problem with the map, but the bases need a lot of work. No base needs more than 6 inventory stations (this one has 7 in one room! and another four in the vehicle bay!). Other than that its a good map. But like I said, too many objects = bad frame rates and lag. I'd like to see it with fewer unnecessary items.

by v5planet on April 28, 2002 · Rating:

Wow, ouch.
Seriously man, if you're getting bad FPS on Harvester you need a new computer. The map has been heavily optimized for decent framerates...
As for your complaint about "too many invs" : there are quite a few, but Harvester's style facilitates fast play. This requires many inv stations to keep the action moving at a fast pace. Moreover, an abundance of inv stations won't reduce fps dramatically in any way shape or form. Are you on a voodoo card or something? lol

by Amaroq on April 28, 2002 · Rating:

Acctually I have a computer with a voodoo 5, it runs fairly with about 37 fps average inside on other maps like kata and tomb, but when I play in harvestor its down to about 7-12 fps. Anyways, I dont find that many invs necessary, you never find anyone really in need of them. Besides, with 4 at the vpad you can stock up there, going naked thru the base. No need for 7 in that hall. Just seems stupid to devote so much space to just invs.

by Nefilim on April 28, 2002 · Rating:

If you get 7 FPS, its a problem with your computer, not my map. Time for a new video card. Secondly, there is not 7 Invs in any one room... there is 5 in the main hall, and I have seen people use each and every one of them. Not everyone running through the base is heading for the vpad, and the ones out there are often destroyed anyways. You are entitled to your opinion, but giving me a bad grade because your computer sucks is.... lame.

by TseTse on April 28, 2002 · Rating:

Amaroq. This is one of the best maps made for T2. You just slammed it merely because your computer is way below par. Unfortunately, too many people with below par computers think they have a right to ruin things for everybody else. Slamming this map off the Top Ten rated list did just that. Good job. =\

Oh, come on people, give the guy a break. Just because he openly expressed his experience and opinion with the map isn't an invitation to take it out on him. The reviews are made for EVERYONE to express how they experienced the map, that even includes people with bad GPU's. The community should be open to these kinds of things, instead of coming back at him just because Harvestor is no longer at the #1 spot (where it has been for the past many weeks). I don't think that his review has hurt the reputation for this map at all.

by TseTse on April 29, 2002 · Rating:

I don't think it's about the reputation of this map either. Nor do I think it's about censoring opinion. It's about BS comments and the continuing negativity of the tribes community, when these ratings become more about selfish whining than map quality. Yes, folks have the right to whine... so be it.

by Uncle Bob on May 5, 2002 · Rating:

All I have to say about this is buy a DAMN new computor, Amaroq. Or get more ram. I think that's why you gave it a bad grade cause your comp cant handle it and your pissed about it.
Granted most people dont have the money to do so (myself). But try buying some ram it's cheap now. Okay
I feel better. And I wait to see if you do the same thing to my map.

I have fallen into my darker side.

by TalonKarrde on June 2, 2002 · Rating:

Damn...the map is fun!

To Anaraq-YOur giving him a bad rating because your computer sucks. What kind of low is that? It runs perfectly well on my comp, not laggy or trippy(except for one spot...had 3 mortars going off in same room)

by GeForcer on June 24, 2002 · Rating:

This map is GREAT! As for crappy computers, I only have a P3 866 with 128mb RAM and a GeForce2 MX video card, and I get exellent FPS out of this map (up to 70 FPS) with all of the settings turned up all the way.

Someone give this man a million dollars so that he never has to have a job, he can just work his magic making maps. It can't be put into words how amazing this map is.
