Capture the Flag Other Clear Client Side
This is a new twist on Capture the Flag. There is only one base on the map. Both teams are provided with their own Inventory Stations, but both flags are inside force fields controlled by the central switch base. The flags are seperated by a fair distance and out in the open, but before you can cap, you must control the central base. What does this mean... almost all the battle will center around gaining control of the central base. Sort of like Scabrae from Tribes 1, but EVERYONE fighting for the switch. I expect some intense warfare. If you have not downloaded maps before be sure to check out the "Map Installation Instructions" under the Tutorials link.

The forcefields are controllable by the switch so that the team that wants to cap can only get through them if their team has the objective. This makes capturing objective a MUST unlike other capturable ones I've seen. It would be amusing for someone to get trapped inside one of those things and no one of their team could get to them. Very unique map.
I've never been able to see
by Subnubilus on June 19, 2001 Permalink · Rating:I've never been able to see this map with 32 players on it, thanks to Dynamix's lack of an auto-updater, but as far as I can tell the action would be INTENSE! There is only one objective, and since you don't need too much flag defense, everyone would stay in the center base. Imagine what frenzy there would be when the map just started. The turret system isn't the best, but the underwater mortar turrets on the poles and ridge walls are very cool and very deadly, I know from experience. Too bad this doesn't get server play!
