Other Lush Foggy Client Side Custom Textures Custom Shapes

Palestra is the first in my concept of stadium style Team Rabbit 2 game play.

It is a very action oriented map but it plays out a little differently then other TR2 maps. The map it self is very small in comparison to the standard TR2 maps that came with the patch. The main difference besides the scale of the level is that it does not focus on traditional methods of speed increase such as skiing. Instead Palestra offers several other ways to build up your momentum and speed.

-The first is using the water pools and center map these work like the traditional water blocks in TR2 maps offer you a speed increase if used correctly.
-The second which is one of my favorites, is the Grid Bounce. Given the size of this map a proper Grid Bounce can offer more than enough speed to locate you where you need to be.
- And the final method is a variation on the cannon/launch tubes found in TR2. These take the shape of two accelerator rings found on the edges of the Stadium at the center of the map. These can be both very helpful in a clinch to escape chasers but also can be very dangerous. The user has to be sure to clear the ring and surrounding structures, or they could find themselves with a bad headache. Utilizing these 3 methods along with traditional teamwork is the key to success here.

And in keeping with the billboard ideas put forth in the standard maps for TR2 I have include variations of them as well as a few other logos from tribes sites to allow for customization on a server level with out having the client to download an update. This was done through the use of using custom textured Force fields. The different billboard images are fairly easy to adjust within the FF Data block, but if you would like some assistance to customize the billboards for your sever feel free to email me and I can help you get it setup to your liking.

Palestra includes new custom objects some new textures and terrain designed just for this map so download is required for play.

I have received much positive feedback as well as the negative but almost all has been constructive and I thank you for your time.

Please enjoy the map,

(heh, post after atf :D) I thought this was a CS siege map, went onto my solo/lan, looked for it and couldnt' find it till i came back here.... vgo! i looked at the authors name, and thought it would be siege, but guess not. It looks great, i can't really play tr2 for long, since mine is all messed up... fun though.

Very fun map. Gameplay is fast and furious despite the lack of large hills for skiing (the grid, water and booster rings more than make up for it).

This was brought to my attention when the topic went on the pond about ur map of the week... I'm not into tr2 and I just glanced at it, but I have played tr2 some and I have to say this is the best of all of them... by far. Now, do this with our Siege Revival pack and you will make history!
