Reprisal is an indoor Siege map loosely based on Containment’s style of play. While aimed primarily at lower player numbers, the map is nonetheless pretty flexible when it comes to team sizes.
The offence starts out at a tiny bunker in the base’s basement. Initially, they only have one route into the main area of the base, though this path is well protected against spam. The attackers’ first objective is to destroy both ForceField generators, which are moderately hard to get at. These are in secluded parts of the base though they are both unrepairable once destroyed.
The destruction of the ForceField generators opens more paths for the offence’s use and also exposes the Main generators to attack. Though both Main generators are repairable, they are also quite exposed. Once they are destroyed, the offence has incredibly easy access to the Switch generator which, in turn, protects the switch. A repair pack is available to each team, though the defence’s is in a remote part of the base.
Please note that this is a very heavily updated version of the original Reprisal. Changes are:
-Far more “anti-spam” protection was implemented. The offence is now virtually unsusceptible to it. This was done by adding several offence-only ForceFields throughout the base.
-The ForceField generators’ surroundings were changed somewhat. One generator is far more difficult to spam defensively and the other is slightly more difficult to kill (the offence needs to get considerably closer, giving the defence a shot at holding it a little longer.)
-The ForceField generators’ icons now disappear when they are both disabled. This makes the map slightly easier to understand. The generators’ destruction also opens up a far more practical path for the offence to the base itself. It is also more difficult for the defence to “camp” this route now (it was previously possible for them to actually gain an advantage by the ForceField generators’ destruction.)
-The Switch “room” was reduced in size. Though harder to plant a solid defence now, there is an increase in the base’s accessibility as a result.
-Various minor tweaks and changes, both aesthetic and gameplay related.
