Capture the Flag Desert Foggy Bots

Another unusual but quite fun map made by me. This map can be very fun just to play around in, yet flag capping and defense can also be very fun with a bunch of people playing. I want to thank Zear for the transfer field which I modified a little, one in particular, the "Launch Tube" has -15 gravity which simply means this, you jump in it, it accelerates you unbelievably fast toward the enemy base. Enjoy, and leave me some feedback if you'd like to see these ideas implemented into another new map, along with ideas.

This map is very creative. The launcher is fun and refreshing, the structures carefully planned, intriguing and functional. A lot of effort was put into interior details. The launcher fires you out of the respective flag areas, from under ground. You can see that you're under the terrain. I can't take any under-the-terrain consciousness during play seriously. To me, under the terrain is off limits and use of it slaps the 3D effort in the face. Clearly a unique map and talented author.

Wonderfully creative, and although you are visibly under the terrain, I see no real problem with that, when you are trying something like this. I'm not entirely sure how this map would work with lots of players, but its a great idea, and executed pretty cleanly too. As a mapper myself(this is ashamedly the first map I've commented on) I love the originality of this map, and so felt bound to comment on it. Good work.. look forward too seeing more of your stuff!

Very original concepts. though I feel there are way too many turrets around the tube gens. I think you should extend the acceleration tubes to exit just above the surface. flying under the terrain is just plain wrong, but shooting out of a cannon is really cool. there also really dosen't need to be windows in the underground base. You should cover them up with walls to promote realism. All in all a very creative map with alot of nice features. Just needs a few small tweaks to be perfect.

Count me among the "great concept, needs work" crowd. The same full house that adored Brimstone had mixed feelings about this map. Once we succeeded in breaking the launcher generators, there was much floundering as we tried to figure out where the repair pack was and how to get our generators back ... without use of heavies.

If the mouth of the cannon was closer to the surface (or better yet, if the cannon base was on the surface, but the flag bases were all aerial-only), this map would have made me really really happy.

It's still fun as it is, and with a couple of tweaks (most of them in altitude ;) ) this could be a really fun, off-the-wall map that you tell all your non-T2-playing friends about. Sort of like Q3Test2 played out over a greater distance.

Anyway, I'll be keeping this one in rotation for a while longer - launching a heavy through that cannon sure is fun! :)

OK, I think I've gotten enough feedback to tell you guys what I think so far. First, the generator base for the launch FF etc. has all those turrets so you don't have to have 10 people running over there all the time to defend(This was purposely done) The repair packs are located where only a light can get them, and they're right beside where you spawn. I didn't want to put any anywhere else especially in the underground base so 1 heavy couldn't perform your entire defense. Third, the launch tubes come out underground for a reason. Who among you wouldn't place mines/beacons/inventory stations/anything else on the enemy launch tube and just watch them smack it every time they came out? Now be honest, I think everyone would get that idea, thus the tubes come out underground... email me for any further questions/comments, I'm open to suggestions for a new release of the map.

I have not played therefore no comment, but you say only lights can get the repair pack? this is not good because in my mod default spawn is a medium, this may make it unplayable in some mods
